Food as Art
Food is a necessity of life. Its representation in art stirs our most primal feelings -- joy, sorrow, hunger and thirst. Think of Rockwell's Thanksgiving Dinner with the roasted turkey as it's centerpiece. Half of all still-lifes rely on food as part of their composition. Just as a master chef creates works of art from food, so does the artist.
